GCRM Challenge 2009
On Saturday August 29th the staff from Glasgow Centre for Reproductive Medicine walked over the Erskine Bridge to the Carbeth Inn via the Old Kilpatrick hills.
Fuelled by sweeties, pork pies and the ‘medicinal contents’ of hip flasks the team endured sun, wind and rain as they completed the 12 mile challenge. The exceptionally wet summer weather had taken its toll on the route and the middle section required steely determination to endure the bogs, reeds and water filled pot holes.
The team successfully completed the Challenge with the aid of Leki poles, plasters and waterproof socks! Thank you to all our sponsors, the amount raised for IN UK is approximately £250.
