A dedicated satellite service, where we build your fertility treatment journey around your precise needs. That’s why we have some of the best success rates in Scotland

Where is the satellite?

Our Edinburgh satellite is located at the The Edinburgh Clinic, a private day-case hospital based in Colinton, Edinburgh.

Who can use the satellite?

The Edinburgh satellite service is available to all patients, based in the east of Scotland.

Which appointments can I have at the satellite?

The following appointments can take place at the satellite:

  • Initial consultation
  • Blood tests
  • Consenting appointment
  • Scan appointments
  • Pregnancy scans
  • Follow-up appointment

All patients will have to attend our Glasgow clinic for their egg collection and embryo transfer appointment and for ovarian assessment and semen analysis. Some patients may also require additional procedures (e.g. cyst aspiration, sperm freeze, surgical sperm retrieval) which can only be done at the main clinic in Glasgow.

How will using the satellite affect my treatment?

The aim of the satellite service is to make treatment more convenient for you. Our Edinburgh satellite is staffed by our nurses from our Glasgow clinic so you receive the same high levels of care that you would in our main clinic. Appointments are conducted as they would be in Glasgow and all scan and blood test results are put on our database so the decisions made about your treatment, and your chances of success, are the same whether you choose to have your appointments in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
