Research at GCRM

GCRM is very proud of the fact that it has an excellent clinical track record, consistently achieving high pregnancy and live birth rates (see Our Success Rates).

We consider that this is not only made possible through the use of a state of the art facility, but by ensuring that we are always at the leading edge of research and developments in the field of assisted reproduction.

We are fortunate to have a highly experienced team of consultants at GCRM, who have benefited from many years of developmental research. Underpinning this, we have direct access to the knowledge and understanding of three internationally renowned Professors (Prof Richard Fleming, Prof Scott Nelson and Prof Richard Anderson) who work with us. They have widespread research interests, and between them have published over 300 scientific papers, review articles and book chapters.

Below are links to a small selection of the recent scientific papers that they and GCRM have been involved with. The significance of this, and ongoing research, in advancing our knowledge of human reproduction cannot be overstated. These papers stand as a testament to the importance of having such a strong academic influence here at GCRM.

Meaningful progress can only be made through properly conducted research studies. Correspondingly, it is possible that you may be asked to participate in research programmes as you proceed through your treatment with GCRM. Although, we consider these studies critically important to future developments, you may be assured that these will only be conducted with your full knowledge and agreement. You may also be assured that if you decline to be involved with such work, it will have absolutely no implications for your care within GCRM.
